Start To Finish Drafting L.L.C is a full-service drafting and design firm owned and operated in Sarasota, FL. Established in 2001, we have been drafting in the Sarasota-Tampa Bay area for over 20 years. We are proud members of the Sarasota HBA, NHBA, USGBC and the Green Building council.
What we do
We pride ourselves on the ability to take your vision and dreams and bring them to life. We have completed projects as small as lanai enclosures and as large as multifamily velocity zone construction. If you can dream it, we can design it.
Jason Kubisiak
President/CEO & Senior Draftsman
Originally from Tawas, Michigan, Jason moved to Florida out of high school. After graduating, he worked for several major corporations, including Sun Hydraulics and Bruce William’s homes. During his time at Bruce Williams, he progressed from draftsman to the head of the Design and Drafting Department learning how to manage employees and implement actions along the way. In 2001, he left Bruce Williams to establish Start to Finish Drafting LLC, fulfilling his long-time vision to run his own business. Start to Finish Drafting has completed over 1800 projects in the Gulf Coast Florida area, proving that unlike other drafting companies that have come and gone, Start to Finish is here to stay. When not working, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and kids boating, fishing or camping. He is also a huge sports fan.
Dave Downer
Vice President – Production/CAD
Dave brings over a decade of knowledge and experience to the team having worked on both commercial and residential projects for local architects, drafting firms and general contractors. Dave’s experience includes 3D modeling via SketchUp, highly accurate as-built measuring and drawing of existing structures and detailed construction documentation for remodels and new construction. Dave oversees the Production / CAD department ensuring that projects are delivered accurately and on time.
Dave joined Start to Finish Drafting in June of 2012 and lives in Sarasota with his wife and three children. Away from the office Dave is a jack-of-all-trades. He enjoys sports, performs in local musical theater productions and is an accomplished professional magician and singer.
Sean Langstine
Masters Degree in Architecture from University of Florida
Born in Connecticut, Sean has been a Florida resident since 1993. He attended The University of Florida where he completed his under-graduate work with high honors and received his Master of Architecture degree in 2001. He has over 10 years of experience in both commercial architecture and design which encompasses the full scope of project development, ranging from preliminary design to construction documents to construction administration.
Sean joined Start to Finish Drafting in July of 2013.
Michael A. Brain
AutoCAD Draftsman
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Michael moved to Sarasota at an early age. After 25+ years, he is as close to a Florida native as one can be without actually having been born here. During his tenor at USF, Michael’s studies spanned fine arts, photography, and architecture, before finally focusing on civil structural/environmental engineering and mathematics. He has vast knowledge and experience in engineering, aesthetic design, programming and analytical problem solving. Michael has successfully used his talents and skills across a myriad of professional and creative endeavors; ranging from his years building architectural models, to those spent designing and building custom cakes. In October of 2014, Michael found his home at Start to Finish Drafting.
Cat Lubin
Office Manager
When not in the garden, or making a mess with art supplies, Cat Lubin serves as Office Manager for Start to Finish Drafting. A Sarasota native, Cat grew up in a rich culture of artists, musicians, and Renaissance Faire performers. Later, she moved to Vermont, where she joined the contemporary furniture industry. She was fortunate to work primarily with locally sourced, sustainable furnishings and held a position as a buyer, merchandised a 20,000 square foot showroom, and while on the retail floor, specialized in assisting petro-chemically sensitive clients. Because of her commitment to the environment and sustainability, during that time she earned the nickname “the queen of green.”
More recently, Cat enjoys pranking her co-workers with ridiculous paper animals and learning how to cook new foods.
Dana Pawelek
Designer
Dana moved to Sarasota in 2017. Originally from Poland, she holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Cracow University of Technology and a Certified Professional license from Autodesk. Her dissertation research was focused on engineered wood framing, a specialization she carried throughout her career. With two decades of experience spanning across construction, drafting, 3d modelling, and large-scale project management, she joined Start to Finish Drafting in late 2021. A keen equestrian, she divides her free time between Gulf Coast and West Palm Beach, where she practices competitive dressage.
